Purnima Wellness Center offers classes of Hatha Yoga in the Svaroopaâ® style. This yoga is based on the key principle of “Core Opening,” which provides profound benefits through less strenuous use of the body.

Our Hatha Yoga group classes are for both beginning and advanced students of any age. The benefits of yoga are designed to alleviate the stresses of modern society while shaping and toning the muscles. You will learn to soften and release unwanted internal physical tension that causes stress and illness
Learn different ways of doing classical yoga postures, including breathing and relaxations exercises to rebuild your strength, tone legs, arms and abdominals.

Our Classes are moderately sized and led by trained teachers. We help you customize each position to optimize personal results.

We encourage private yoga sessions if you have physical limitation that would limit your ability to be in a regular yoga class, if you:

  • are under the care of a physician or PT for back pain or back injury
  • are dealing with an acute phase of fibromyalgia
  • are dealing with an acute phase of chronic fatigue
  • are recuperating from an accident or injury
  • are referred by a medical professional to address specific issues through yoga
  • have an ongoing practice and need temporary additional assistance
  • to deepen their practice
  • to move through transitional periods of rapid change that arise from regular practice
  • have a work schedule that makes regular class attendance difficult.

Multiple sessions allow for the application of a progression of therapy tools. Guidance for home practice is a part of the sessions and encouraged to maintain the benefits of the therapy.
